I am very sad at the news of Sam's death. He was a lovely guy, very committed and experienced. I remember when he was in Sydney and we had booked him to speak at the Hakoah Club, a Jewish club in Sydney. It was all organised and paid for, when 2 days before the scheduled meeting, we were told that we could not have the hall. The local Jewish Board of Deputies had 'explained the nature of the meeting' to the Hakoah. So with Sam and a number of people, we picketted the Hakoah. We got quite a lot of media attention.

Please pass on my condolences to all concerned. My best wishes to all of you.

Kind regards,
